Latoya Hazel

Nurse Trained Postpartum Doula

About

Hello All!
I’m Latoya Hazel, a nurse trained postpartum doula with over 10 years of experience supporting families through the many stages of early childhood. My journey began as a Montessori teacher, guiding young minds through their first steps into independence. From there, I transitioned into professional nannying, working closely with families in their homes and building deep, trusting relationships. Eventually, my path led me to where my heart truly belongs — postpartum care, providing both mothers and newborns with the specialized, compassionate attention they deserve.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting more than 50 families, including those with twins, triplets, medically fragile, and immunocompromised babies. Every household is unique, and I pride myself on being the kind of caregiver who can adapt seamlessly to each family’s individual needs. As a BSN nursing student, I bring an additional layer of evidence-based knowledge and clinical awareness to the families I serve. This combination of hands-on experience and medical education allows me to provide care that is both nurturing and informed — giving parents confidence that their little ones are in capable hands. My philosophy is simple: your house, your rules. My role is to make your life easier in every way I can — whether that’s taking over newborn care so you can rest, helping with feedings, prepping nourishing meals, or just being a calm, confident presence in your home. Flexibility is at the core of my work. What one family needs may be entirely different from the next, and that’s exactly why my services are built around you. I’m here to bring peace, ease, and reassurance during one of life’s most beautiful — and chaotic — transitions. You don’t have to do it all — you just need to make 1 call!

- Blum Family
“She was meticulous, maintaining thorough notes that provided us with a clear understanding of our son’s feeding schedule and nightly patterns. Her level of organization was particularly reassuring to us—as two working professionals with demanding schedules, we stayed well-informed and at ease despite the inevitable chaos of life with a newborn and a toddler.”

“We can’t emphasize enough how much of a life saver you have been :) “

“Hey Latoya! We miss you and just was thinking about how thankful I am of you. Baby is already 2 months and I couldn’t have had the rest and time to heal without you! “
